I am very happy to be sharing this beautiful, colourful wedding with you today! Helen & Dominic are friends of a friend and I was so happy that they asked me to be part of their day. They decided to have their pre-wedding shoot at Buckler’s Hard as it was just around the corner from their amazing wedding venue Beaulieu Abbey, (to see the images from this session follow the link.) They were married on 27th April, and between a few typical April showers, they had a glorious Spring day!!
I was amazed at the work that they had put into creating their theme. Helen had painstakingly made each favour for the guests, which was a lovely mini jar of jam and she even made the amazing 3 tier wedding cake, and mini cakes! There’s such a lovely feeling of satisfaction when you’ve hand crafted something for your own wedding, so well done Helen!! The tables looked beautiful with wine bottle table numbers and lovely bird cage candle centre pieces. I am a bit of a birdy fan, so when I turned up with a dress featuring birds & cages on, I think a few family members thought I was wearing a uniform! It was purely by coincidence , honest!
The flowers were beautiful and bright with a royal blue theme flowing throughout, which matched the Grooms, Ushers & Bridesmaids outfits. I especially loved the yellow socks that the wedding party wore!
Beaulieu is a stunning venue, with the fabulous 13th century Abbey in which to exchange your vows, followed by the beautiful Palace Gardens and The Domus, which provide a perfect backdrop for photos after the ceremony. We even managed to get the Beaulieau vintage bus to stop for a little while to take some photos, which was great fun!
Here is a selection of my favourite images from the day!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bruce !!
