Barn Wedding at The Three Tuns in Hampshire // Caroline & Mike

I love hearing how couple’s first met and their proposal stories, so I’ll start with this…. Caroline & Mike’s story began when Caroline’s friend Emma (one of the Bridesmaids) , who was already friends with Mike, introduced them.  (I guess we now have Emma to thank for the next bit… ). Mike proposed when they were staying at an old converted lighthouse B & B in Wales. ‘He had timed it very romantically up on the roof next to a hot tub with Prosecco and the sunset, but was a complete shock to me and I nearly fainted!  Good job he’s ambulance crew!’

Caroline & Mike’s Wedding was one of my favourites from last Summer.   Their wedding day was everything you would hope for in a relaxed summer country wedding!  The day started with Caroline and her Bridesmaids getting ready at The Christchurch Harbour Hotel.  A stunning location to get ready for the big day, with lovely bright airy rooms and a fantastic view from the window over to Mudeford Quay.  The girl’s make up was by the very talented Laura Crowther (Ooh la la Beauty) and the gorgeous wedding flowers were a perfect match with the Bridesmaids dresses, and were a lovely mixture of country blooms by Florists Gallery.  Caroline’s beautiful lace dress was from Ava Louise Bridal

Caroline, her Bridesmaids and close family arrived at The Three Tuns in one of the fab VW Campervans from Dorset Dub Hire.  Mike and his Best Man Marc looked very smart in their Navy suits from All Aspects.  They had the most beautiful setting at The Three Tun’s, where they held the ceremony in the barn and wedding breakfast in the marquee.  I absolutely love the Three Tuns as a wedding venue as it provides the most stunning backdrop, they have beautiful grounds, lovely flowers and greenery everywhere and the team cater for absolutely anything!  You name it and they will do it for you!  The day was very relaxed with garden games, live acoustic music by Lucas Raye a cake Bake Off, Ice cream bike, and Barn Dance in the evening which was loads of fun and a great way to get everyone involved and dancing.

I’m pleased to report that Caroline’s cake with the ‘Hooray’ topper, was completely devoured by the guests!  It did look delicious!!
